Would you volunteer abroad? -- Ly Phan

 

After watching the videos of two returned Peace Corps volunteers- Olena & Camen, I can see there is a very strong enthusiasm as well as determination in them. They have a clear goal in life that includes enriching not only their own life but the life of others. Their positive and purposeful living inspires other people, especially young people, to do good to society. Their story encourage me to adopt a more positive attitude in life . Living a purposeful life does not involve a significant sacrifice in life, it can start with many small deeds or act of kindness in daily life. If my life circumstances allow me to do volunteer work in the future, I would like to spend some times to do volunteer work in Africa where there are many children who live under extremely poor conditions.

    In my opinion, I think volunteer in Africa gradually become poplar so I think it is a good idea.

  Hello, class! I’m Shiho and from Japan. Also, I’m 19 years old and now live in Kaikorai with Hilary who is my host mother. I have impressed a nature, a view from my home and a wood stove. I like Dunedin because there’s no high buildings and Dunedin is a beautiful streetscape. Sometimes, I miss Japan and soaking in the bathwater. My favorite subject was Japanese because I like classic so in Japanese classes I could read Japanese classic literature.
