Boyan Slat & The Ocean Cleanup -- Usa Yamagami

Mr. Boyan Slat was surprised by the amount of plastic waste when he went diving, a hobby of his. He became aware of the dangers of plastic waste and, although he was still a minor, he decided to actively conduct an experiment to solve the problem. What I find amazing about him is that he was willing to try experiments even though they were not subsidized by the government.
He continues to work with Ocean Cleanup today.
His plastic waste collection operation can separate the trash from the fish and plankton and collect only the trash on a large scale. On top of that, he uses fuels that reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and other aspects besides trash that do not pollute the marine environment, which I thought was amazing.
I believe that his ability to take action to improve the situation as soon as he realized that it was not good led to the current results, rather than adults who realized that it was not good and did not take action.

  1. His attitude to solving problems is so great that we should evaluate him more.

  2. He thinks all of things about environment, and he will be a famous pioneer who would contribute this problem.

  3. The Nike logo applies to Slat doesn't it -"Just do it." Do what you can now and work on doing more tomorrow. Perhaps that is the way to proceed. If we live this way, we'll be able to overcome our own self interest and apathy one day at a time.
