Boya Slat and the Ocean clean up -- Tamon Yamamoto

 I think his energy is very impressive. Without action, nothing will happen, so I think his project is contributing to the cleanup of the oceans in some small way. I think that his confident attitude has a positive impact on the people involved in his project. I want to be able to act with confidence like him.

    Hi Tamon, indeed confidence can go along way and motivate others. And it seems that Slat is open to advice from others as well and is prepared to be told he is wrong regarding some of his ideas. On the other hand 'continued confidence in an idea even when it is shown to have flaws' is a dangerous thing. One can lead others to follow them into error when they display confidence in something that is wrong.

  Hello, class! I’m Shiho and from Japan. Also, I’m 19 years old and now live in Kaikorai with Hilary who is my host mother. I have impressed a nature, a view from my home and a wood stove. I like Dunedin because there’s no high buildings and Dunedin is a beautiful streetscape. Sometimes, I miss Japan and soaking in the bathwater.
