Would you volunteer abroad? -- Tess Gommers
I think
volunteering is a great way of self-development. There are so many cultures,
with their own way of thinking, behavior, interacting and problem-solving. In
my opinion it’s very valuable to see these differences, to learn from it and to
understand that the world is so much bigger than your own county, with your own
culture. I think it can give you a wider perspective of the world and a
different view of your own position in the world. Besides your own benefits, it’s
great to help, share and make a positive impact on others.
Now, in my stage of life, I’m not able to do some volunteer work abroad. I wish
I heard from it after I graduate, because of the many advantages. Maybe in the
future there are possibilities for helping other people and learn about their
cultures.
As you mentioned, joining volunteers develops us for many ways, so I think volunteering isn't just giving but receiving!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your posting. I'm also busy to study so after that I want to go volunteer, too.
ReplyDeleteI also think people should go abroad to see the scale of the world and differences of the world compared to their countries.
ReplyDeleteI agree that volunteer can give you a wider perspective of the world
ReplyDeleteNice goals! I support your opinion.
