Past Pandemics: A Reflection -- Shiho Matsuura

What has surprised I most about these pandemics is the influences. They spread very quickly and killed many people,

Which I think would have been most terrifying to face is the bubonic plagues because there were 3 times of the pandemics and then they wipe out many people.

I think there are any lessons we can learn from these pandemics. For example, I learned that a lack of knowledge about illness and unsanitary are harmful for people.

I think there were developments in several area as any positive changes that have resulted from the COVID 19 pandemic. For instance, I know COVID19 pandemic made camper and camping companies more popular. Thanks to this, people went out and felt nature. Also, I think there was a rising demand for food trucks. They helped people to get tasty foods easily.

  1. I was surprised by the speed of the spread. Food truck is good idea because people who can't go supermarket can buy food easily!

  5. Interesting that the inability to travel abroad during lockdowns led to a boom in camping in Japan. I think in a lot of countries because people couldn't travel abroad they spent more time exploring their own backyards.
