A Problem I Have Solved -- Yugo Konno

When I was eighteen or nineteen years old, I made the most important decision in my life, and I could learn crucial things to be matured. In briefly, I was confused about the path I would take in life. I was a high school student at that time, and I had to decide whether I would enter a university or a vocational school. At first, I tried to enter a vocational school. That’s why almost all my friends wanted to start learning there, and I didn’t like studying.  However, finally, I chose a university, because I could understand the importance of the education.

The decision I made was the beginning of tough a time, because I had never studied spontaneously before the decision. Initially, I bought English word book for junior high school students. By virtue of my efforts, my grades started rising. Time passed to the days when I had to take the university entrance exams. I couldn’t pass universities, and I was so disappointed.

However, I changed my mind quickly, and I decided to prepare for the next exams again when I was nineteen years old. I had been studying at least thirteen hours a day for one year. Then I took the exam, but I couldn’t pass a first-choice university again.

The series of results seems tragic, because I couldn’t achieve goals despite hard work. Nevertheless, I never think the series of experiences was lamentable, because I could know the importance of learning. Moreover, thanks to that experience I have become really tough.
